Produce extended round or V-shaped stiffening ribs with continuous support, repeatable alignment and tooling matched to the panel length.
Long bead forming capability
Long beading tools can produce a continuous round bead or V-bead in one controlled forming step. Where the profile geometry and available press force permit, one tool may support more than one sheet thickness or material. Active forming components are hardened, and a spring-loaded ejector can support part release in long V-bead applications.
Engineering inputs for a long beading tool
Send the bead section, material grade, thickness range, panel dimensions, usable bend length and press brake force. COVO reviews small round beads, long V-beads and large round beads against the machine capacity, tool deflection risk and required panel support. Functional testing with representative sample sheets is recommended before production release.
